• If the battery has more wires than the controller, connect it parallel to the e-bike system.
• Number of battery output and input pins or cables vary depending on the model (see
output and input table).
Note: If you have any questions or concerns regarding battery installation, contact the
customer service center.
Most of e-bike batteries are equipped with a key-lock (see picture below). To use the key
lock, follow the steps below:
1. Switch the key to position 1 to transmit voltage to the output.
2. Switch the key to position 2 to turn on blockade and stop voltage transfer.
3. Switch the key to position 3 to release the blockade.

Attention: Some of Green Cell e-bike batteries do not have a key-lock system and the current
is always ON.
After installing the battery, turn the key to position 1 and check if your e-bike is receiving
voltage. Some battery models are not equipped with a battery indicator (e.g., EBIKE54STD).
It is not a defect, in those cases the e-bike controller should have a proper power or capacity
indicator, LCD or other kind of system information display.
/Charging
1. Turn off and disconnect the battery before charging.
2. Connect the charger to the battery with the input connector. Use a charger that is
compatible with your battery type.
3. After connecting the charger, an indicator lights up red.
4. After the charging is finished and the battery is fully charged, the indicator light will
change to green.
Attention: Battery packs are equipped with wires instead of pins. The battery pack comes
with 3 wires, one positive and two negative. In the negative pair, the thinner wire is the
charging wire. The positive wire can be used for charging and discharging. To charge your
battery pack, connect the battery pack charging wires with the e-bike charging wires.
• Charging time may vary depending on the charger and the battery capacity.
• If the battery gets hot and starts to emit an unpleasant odor when charging, it may
indicate that the cells are overloaded. Immediately disconnect the charger to avoid
overcharge, or in extreme cases, fire or explosion.
• The battery will reach its full capacity after 5–10 charge/discharge cycles.
/Replacing the battery
Note: To replace your e-bike battery, you will need an electronic multimeter, hand tools,
screws, and (optionally) a power drill.
To properly replace an e-bike battery, follow the steps below:
1. Disassemble the current e-bike battery.
2. Check if the Green Cell e-bike battery fits in the mounting. If not, replace it with the
mounting that came with the battery.
3. Check the wire polarity with a multimeter.
4. Check the connectors. If they do not match your e-bike system, use connectors from
the old battery.
5. Put the new battery in place and connect with the system.
Battery packs are equipped with wires instead of pins and connectors. To properly replace a
battery pack, follow the steps below:
1. Because there are no built-in pins or connectors available, plug or solder the battery
the same way the original e-bike battery was mounted.
4
2. After mounting the battery pack, check if the battery is secured in place and the wires
are not loose, so there is no risk that they get disconnected or damaged.
/Maintaining the battery
• To keep the battery in a good condition, charge and discharge it at least once every 3
months.
• To avoid speeding up the degradation process, do not leave a fully charged battery
unused for a long time.
• If the battery is constantly connected to the charger and has not been discharged, its
capacity may decrease.
• To properly prepare your battery for storage, charge it up to no more than 50–60% and
store in a dry environment with a temperature around 20 °C (68 °F).
• Be aware that the battery capacity may slightly decrease over time.
• Battery performance varies depending on numerous factors, e.g., terrain, riders weight,
riding intensity, electric motor power and battery condition.
