Fill the tank with tap water up to its maximum capacity and wait 5
minutes for the water to settle.
•
Open the hot water valve until water comes out. Note: Some models
have a child safety key, so it must be slid before the hot water valve
can be opened.

Connect the appliance for 50 minutes to start the fi rst cycle of
operation. This will bring both hot and cold water up to operating
temperature.
•
Disconnect the appliance from the current. Proceed to drain the
valves or faucets one at a time until no water comes out. Note: to
facilitate the operation use a large container or bucket).
•
Then, drain the rest of the water from the line by opening the drain
cap located on the back of the appliance.
•
Once all the water has been drained from the appliance, proceed to
close the rear drain cap.
•
Remove the cap from your bottle (20 L or 5 gal.) and wipe the neck
of the bottle with a clean cloth.
•
Place the water bottle in the appliance's water inlet and let the water
stand for about a minute.
•
Press or turn on faucets to make sure water is fl owing properly.
•
Reconnect the appliance to power.
•
Now you are ready to use the appliance.
NOTE: Your appliance has been cleaned and sanitized before leaving
the factory, but in the event of a taste problem, add two tablespoons of
baking soda and tap water. Refi ll the tank and repeat the basic ope-
rations described above, except that the hot water function has to be
turned off to avoid leaving residues in the hot water tank.
IMPORTANT: If you do not plan to use the hot water function
for more than 3 days, it is recommended to turn off the hot
water function.
