Statement of Use
• For professional use only.
• This product and its accessories must not be modified in
any way.
• Do not use this product if it has been damaged.
• If the product data or hazard warning signs on the product
cease to be legible or become detached, replace without
delay.
• The product must only be installed, operated and serviced
by qualified personnel in an industrial environment.
Intended Use
This product is designed for being installed on Desoutter tools
for scanning pictures. No other use is permitted. For profes-
sional use only.
WARNING Laser Radiation
Do not stare into beam.
This is a Class 2 laser product.

Installing the barcode reader
Before mounting the accessories, check that the tool, the
controller and the software releases are compatible.
Tool software version ≥ 2.3.1
CVI3 Controller version ≥ 2.3.1
CVI3 Suite version ≥ 2.3.1
1. Mount the accessories as described on pages 3 and 4.
2. Connect the tool to the controller, the green LED
"Power on" is blinking (see page 6).
• Launch "CVI MONITOR".
• In the tab "Tool identification", click "Barcode
reader" to declare the accessory. Click "Write to
tool" to update the tool memory.
From that moment, the LED "Power on" turns steady. If not,
check the mounting of the accessory. The tool is ready to run.
Other settings possible with CVI CONFIG
1. Launch "CVI CONFIG" and go to the "Tool" tab.

2. Scan source can be configured through scan button and /
or handle trigger. When the operator presses the BCR
scan buttton and/ or the tool handle trigger the reader
starts scan sequence. The scan using tool handle trigger
is only effective when the tool is locked,
3. Extend or shorten the scan time from 1 to 9 seconds.
Operating mode
Refer schema 7.
Press the "Scan button" briefly.
The orange LED "Scan" is activated for 3 seconds by default.
As soon as the barcode is read, the beam gets switched off
and the green LED "Scan ok" is switched on.
