Application
The Snap-on CTR861 Cordless Ratchet is a rugged,
reversible ratchet that is ideal for many confined
automotive and industrial applications. It is designed and
built to make fast work of fastener turning jobs that do
not require more than 48 ft. lb. (65 N•m) torque.
General Instructions for Use
1. Insert a fully charged CTB series battery into the base
of the tool, as shown in Figure 3.
2. Attach the desired socket on to the drive body.
3. Check that the reversing selector knob is in the correct
position for either tightening or loosening.
4. If a fastener has been tightened beyond the powered
limits of tool, torque can be applied manually to break
the fastener free prior to pulling the trigger.
5. Depress the variable speed trigger to loosen or tighten
the fastener at the desired speed.
6. Remove the battery and socket when done using the
tool.
Use only CTC series chargers with 14.4V receptacle.
Installing Sockets
The CTR861 uses 3/8" square drive sockets. Be sure that
only power or impact sockets are used.
Variable Speed Trigger
This tool is equipped with a variable speed trigger which
allows precise output speed control.
