Keep the power cord and plug away from heat sources, oil,
sharp objects, and rotary accessories. Check the condition
of the power cord regularly, if it is damaged, it must be
replaced or repaired by a qualified technician.
Never change the power cord plug and use a socket which
is compatible with the plug. Do not use any kind of socket
adaptor.
The use of extension cords to plug in the power cord is not
recommended. However, if you use an extension cord, you
should take some precautions, such as:
▪ If you operate the compressor outdoors, use only
extension cords suitable for outdoor use. The use of a
suitable extension cord reduces the risk of electric
shock;
▪ Use only extension cords, plugs and sockets with
grounding;
▪ The cross-section of the extension cords cables shall be
proportional to the length and with the same
characteristics as or larger than the compressor's power
cord;
▪ Do not use damaged extension cords. Examine the
extension cords before using them and replace if
necessary;
▪ When using an extension cord reel, unroll the cord
completely;
▪ Always unplug the extension cord before removing the
power cord.
Before opening any outlet valve, make sure that the
couplings, hoses, or accessories are correctly assembled to
avoid the risk of disconnection and projection while
compressor is running.
Keep the air hose connected to the compressor and to the
gun while the system is under pressure. Make sure the
compressor is switched off and all pressure is released
before disconnecting the hoses.
If a under pressure hose breaks loose, move away from
possible hose whippings. If possible, stop the compressor
immediately.
If you remove the hose from the outlet valve, with the
compressor under pressure, hold the quick-release
coupling to avoid any injury.
Never point the air blow gun at people, animals, equipment,
or electrical installations. Never use the air blow gun to
clean your clothes.
Never place your hand or any other part of your body in front
of the air blow gun. The air jet can cause serious injuries.
Whenever there is an air leak, it is a sign of anomaly or
malfunction. Stop the compressor, check, and repair air
leak immediately.
While operating, check regularly that the compressor
motor shuts down when the maximum preset pressure is
reached.
Accidents while operating a compressor are common, and
in most cases could be avoided with regular appliance
maintenance and safety measures. Accidents with
compressors can cause serious injury and death to the user
and to people nearby the work area.
Always wear face masks when painting with spray guns,
especially if you are using materials that are harmful to
health. Respect manufacturer's instructions concerning the
chemical substances.
Do not use paint or solvents with a flash point under 55ºC.
Do not smoke nearby the working area while painting. The
paint steams are highly flammable.
Do not store food or eat in the working area. The paint
steams are harmful to health.
The working area should be larger than 30 m
well ventilated during painting and drying.
Do not paint in the opposite direction of the wind.
Check the under-pressure air tank before starting the
compressor. Check for rust and damage. The compressor
cannot be started if the air tank is rusted or damaged. If you
detect damage, please contact the technical assistance.
