2.2.1 Security Advices
Only original ACD voltage supply cables may be used for
operating the MFT10/MFT12.
components with a third-party device. Observe the input voltage
range on the rating plate.
ATTENTION
Prior to each use, the vehicle terminal incl. battery as well as the
connection cables must be inspected for damage. Damaged parts
must be replaced. Please contact ACD in this case.
ATTENTION
Make sure there is no risk of stumbling over connection cables or
power packs.
ATTENTION
Cables have to be fitted and mounted in a way that there is no
possibility of hooking of a barrier or that persons can be captured
by the cable when the vehicle moves.
This affects the cable of the power supply as well as the cables of
ATTENTION
the interfaces (COM, USB, Audio).
2.2.2 Mounting (when connected with the power supply cable)
Insert the voltage supply cable into the cable entrance area of the back of the device (Figure 12). For access
to the connection ports, remove the cable shaft cover with screw connection. Then connect the other end of
the cable to a DC power supply (cable label "-" corresponds to "Negative", cable label "+" corresponds to
"Positive", cable label "IGN" corresponds to "Ignition"). In doing so, please observe the permitted DC input
voltage range of the MFT10/MFT12 at the rating plate at the rear side of the MFT10/MFT12.
