Overload Protection
Your saw is equipped with Electronic Motor Pro-
tection (EMP), which shuts the tool off under
overload conditions that could damage the tool.
This feature can be reset by simply releasing the
trigger and re-engaging the trigger again to re-
start the tool.
General Cuts
(Fig. 13)
Always hold the saw handle with one hand and
the auxiliary handle with the other.
Maintain a firm grip and operate the switch with
a decisive action. Never force the saw. Use light
and continuous pressure.
Material Guide
(Fig. 14)
For safe and accurate cuts always use the mate-
rial guide. Note: the material guide is shipped in
fully retracted position.
For ordinary cut, the material guide shall be fully
extended.
Use the Material Guide Wrench 11 to loosen the
two screws securing the Material Guide 10. Turn
counter-clockwise to loosen. Note: it only takes
a fraction of a turn to loosen the screws to ad-
just the material guide.
Slide the material guide to fully extended posi-
tion and tighten the two screws firmly to secure
the material guide. Turn clockwise to tighten.
If the material guide is interfering with the cut-
ting operation, loosen screws and adjust mate-
rial guide as needed. After adjusting the material
guide, tighten the two screws firmly to secure
the material guide.
Typical Application
1. Keep the blade off the workpiece until the
motor has reached full desired speed.
2. Start cutting on a surface where the greatest
number of teeth will be in contact with the
workpiece at one time (Fig. 15).
3. Place the material guide against the work-
piece and lower the moving saw blade into
the cut.

4. Do not apply pressure when cutting. The
weight of the tool will supply adequate pres-
