The manufacturer, AVE SPA, declares that the radio equipment complies with Directive 2014/53/EU.
The full text of the EU declaration of conformity is available at the following Internet address: www.ave.it.
3) INSTALLATION, POSITIONING AND FIXING
Articles VI2F-PE1AP and VI2F-PE2AP can be installed outdoors, within the temperature limits indicated, and following the instructions in this document. The recommended installation height of the
product is: upper limit at 1.6 m from the ground (see figure 1). To install the devices (see figure 2):
Step 1: unscrew the two screws on the underside of the device and remove the protective cover.
Step 2: secure the base to the wall using the four screws, making the connection cables come out in the compartment at the bottom under the clamps.
Step 3: after making the connections, close the protective cover again by tightening the two screws on the underside of the device.
If necessary, the rain cover art. VI-RPPEXAP is available to be installed between the device and the wall.
Install the product so that the camera of the device is not blinded by direct light sources (street lamps, headlights or direct sunlight) that would compromise its operation.
Note: the devices are equipped with white LEDs that illuminate the subject positioned at a maximum distance of 1m in case of poor lighting.
The AVE video-intercom system complies with the strictest product standards both as regards performance and safety requirements and compliance with the relevant environmental tests. It also
contains advanced video surveillance functions (which can be activated during installation of the system) that may be subject to Regulation 679/2016 ("GDPR") and the General Provision of the Video
surveillance authority of 8 April 2010. Since these indications establish specific obligations for the protection of privacy, we draw attention to the fact that the installation is carried out according to
the current laws and legislative decrees on "privacy".
4) ACCESS TO NAME TAGS
To access the name tags, unscrew the two screws on the underside of the device and remove the finishing cover. Remove the plastic cover from the tag compartment and insert the tag. Once the change
has been made, reinsert the plastic cover, put the finishing cover back on and tighten the previously removed screws (see figure 3)
5) CONNECTIONS
The meaning of the connection terminals and trimmers located at the rear of the device is illustrated here below. The arrangement of the connectors is shown in figure 4.

Terminal 2:
BUS B
Terminal 3:

6) ADDRESSING
The 2-wire system allows for a maximum number of 3 outdoor stations to be installed at the same time, regardless of their type (art. VI-PEAUX is not to be counted in the number of outdoor stations
as it is an auxiliary device).
To address the VI2F-PE1AP and VI2F-PE2AP outdoor stations, proceed as follows:
a) Power up the device;
b) In standby mode, press any button on the outdoor station and hold for 3 seconds; the device will emit a beep and enter the address setting mode.
c) Briefly press the button to add the desired address (after each short press, the device will emit a number of beeps equal to the device address (e.g. a device with ID=1 will emit a single beep, a
device with ID=3 will emit 3 beeps);
d) Press the bell button to go to the next ID (5 beeps will be emitted, after which it will go back to ID=1);
e) After setting the address, press any button and hold for 3 seconds to exit the setting mode with a long beep (after 15 seconds without any action, the device will exit the procedure automatically).
7) SETTING THE LOUDSPEAKER VOLUME
The devices are equipped with a trimmer (2) to adjust the volume of the speaker of the outdoor station. To increase the volume of the device, turn the trimmer clockwise.
8) SETTING THE N.O. CLEAN CONTACT RELAY UNLOCKING TIME
The devices are equipped with a trimmer (1) to adjust the closing time of the unlocking relay with normally open contact (min 1 s – max 10 s). To increase the closing time of the relays, turn the trimmer
clockwise.
9) DOOR OPENING BUTTON INPUT (DOOR)
A normally open button (e.g. 441005) can be connected between the "DOOR" input and the GND terminal: a short pressure acts on the output of the powered relay (EL).
10) PROGRAMMING OF CARDS
The VI2F-PE1AP and VI2F-PE2AP outdoor stations feature a built-in MIFARE® card reader that can be managed using the cards art. 44339CHU-MB or the tags 44339CHU-MT. The card programming
procedure can be found in the complete manual of the 2-wire system available on the website www.ave.it
