3.3 RESIDUAL RISKS FOR SURFACE PUMPS
The residual risks are:
•
Possibility of coming into contact (though not accidentally) with the engine cooling fan by pas-
sing thin objects (such as screwdrivers, swabs or similar objects) through the holes in the en-
gine cooling fan shroud.
•
For single-phase electric pumps, a possible unexpected start-up due to the automatic resetting
of the motor protector, in case it has been activated due to motor overheating.
4. MOVEMENT AND STORAGE
4.1 DISPLACEMENT
Observe the accident prevention regulations in force. The product may
be heavy: use suitable lifting methods and clothing.
The pump must be moved or uninstalled:
a.
Cut off the power supply
b.
Loosen the delivery and suction pipes (if any) if they are too long or awkward.
c.
If available, loosen the screws holding the pump to the bearing surface.
d.
Lift the pump by suitable means depending on the weight and size of the pump
(see nameplate).
Check that the product is securely attached to the engine and cannot tip over or fall.
CAUTION!
Displacement of the pump only.
Follow the same procedure as for the electric pump but attach the belt to the motor bracket.
