1. Connect the ground connector (13) to the grounding post
using the ground connection cable supplied. Follow the
tips in section 7.3 to ensure proper grounding.
2. Insert the mains adaptor connection cable (1) and/or battery
connection cable (2) into the connection(s) on the device
and screw the plug(s) tight (Fig. 1).
WA R NI N G
It is possible that explosive gas may form.
When using 12 V batteries (lead‑acid, AGM,
gel batteries), these must be placed in a well
ventilated location.
WA R NIN G AGA IN ST ELE CTRICAL VOLTAGES
Only use the mains adapter supplied. The supply voltage must not exceed 16 V.
The mains adaptor must only be connected once installation has been completed
in accordance with the regulations.
N OTICE
Avoid any contact between the 12 V plus and minus pole connecting terminals of the
battery connection cable. Otherwise the device may be damaged by a short-circuit.

When connecting a battery, make sure that you use the 12 V screw connector port (4). If
the battery is connected incorrectly and its charging status is low, the energiser does not
give any signal (see Section 6.3) and the device switches itself off.
3. Connect the fence connector (11 and/or 12) to the fence using the fence connection cable.
I nformation on u se of the yell ow fe nce co nne c t io n
The yellow fence connection (12) has two applications:

for a fence for younger or more sensitive animals
∙
in combination with the red fence connection (11) on a fence with separate conductors.
To do this, connect the yellow fence connection (12) to the lower conductor of the fence
and the red fence connection (11) to the upper conductor of the fence:
4. Place the connection nuts on the connections again (13 and 11/12) and screw them tight by hand.
5. Insert the mains adaptor into a nearby power socket if you are using the mains adaptor
connection, or connect the battery connection cable with the battery poles.

Only insert the connection plug into properly installed sockets, in order to prevent
the risk of a short circuit or electric shock. The socket used must be equipped
with a residual current circuit breaker (RCCB).
