capacity of your saw. Never use a blade that is too thick
to allow the outer flange washer to fit properly on the
spindle. Too thick a blade will prevent the blade bolt
from securing the blade on the spindle. Larger diameter
blades will contact the blade guards. Either situation
could result in a serious accident.
INSTALLING AND REMOVING THE
SAW BLADE ( FIG 2)
• Remove the battery from the circular saw.
• While depressing the spindle lock (21), use the provided
blade wrench (23) to remove the blade bolt and washer
(18) by turning clockwise.
• Remove the outer flange (17).
• Lift the lower guard (15) and, if a blade is already in
place, remove the old blade.
• To install a new blade, slide it onto the inner flange (24).
The saw blade has arrows indicating the direction of
rotation. Match the direction of arrows on the blade with
the rotation indicator on the front of the upper guard.
• Replace the outer flange, washer, and the blade bolt.
• While holding down the spindle lock, securely tighten
the blade bolt by turning it counterclockwise.
NOTE:
Tighten the blade bolt until you feel resistance.
Do not over tighten.

ADJUSTING THE DEPTH OF CUT
• Remove the battery from the circular saw.
• Loosen the cutting depth locking lever (20-FIG 1) on the
depth guide at the back of the saw.
• Move the base (14-FIG 1) up or down to the desired
depth as indicated on the depth of cut scale.
OR
• Raise the lower blade guard and place the saw
base on the workpiece to be cut with the saw blade
positioned against the edge. Hold the saw base down
on the workpiece surface, then raise or lower the motor

housing to obtain the desired depth of cut using the
workpiece edge as a reference.
• Secure the base by locking the locking lever.
NOTE:
Always maintain the correct blade depth setting.
For all cuts, the blade depth should not exceed 1⁄4" below
the material being cut. Excessive blade depth increases the
chance of saw KICKBACK.
BEVEL ANGLE ADJUSTMENT
• Loosen the bevel locking knob (12-FIG 1) at the bevel
scale plate on the front of the saw base.
• Tilt the saw base until the desired graduation on
the bevel scale aligns with the indicator line on the
stationary bevel bracket.
• Tighten the bevel locking knob securely.
• Always make a test cut in scrap lumber and measure
the cut angle to confirm the bevel angle is set properly.
If necessary, adjust the bevel angle appropriately before
cutting the workpiece.
INSTALLING THE EDGE GUIDE
(FIG 3)
The edge guide (22) allows you to use the straight edge of a
board to help maintain a straight cut up to 8" wide.
• Remove the battery from the circular saw.
• Insert the edge guide through all three slots on the saw
base at the front of the saw, starting with slot in the left
side edge of the base. see FIG 3.
• Slide the guide through the slots until it extends out the
right side of the base.
• Adjust the edge guide to the desired width of cut, then
securely tighten the thumbscrew (13) in the center slot
to hold the edge guide in position.

INSTALLING AND REMOVING THE
BATTERY PACK (FIG 4)
• To install the battery pack, slide the battery pack into
the back end of the tool housing all the way until it locks
in place with a click, as shown in FIG 4. Lightly pull on
the battery to ensure it is locked into place and will not
accidentally fall out of the tool, causing an injury.
• To remove the battery pack, pull the battery away from
the tool while depressing the battery locking tab (7).
