3. Internal HDD Installation
The specifications for the Internal Hard Drive must be the following:
• Size: 3,5"
• Minimum RPM 7200
• Maximum capacity of 6TB.
• Recommended to use "optimized HDD for surveillance" as "Western Digital Purple" or
"Seagate Surveillance HDD", or similar.
We strongly do not recommend to use a standard PC HDD, since a standard HDD is
not ready to work 24/7 and the HDD might stop working due to the very high workload.
IMPORTANT: Using a standard HDD for 24/7 surveillance could lead to Hard disk failures and
data loss.
1
Loosen the 4 screws from
the bottom of the NVR and
remove the top cover.
4
Connect the Serial ATA
data cable and the Serial
ATA power cable to the
corresponding ports of the
HDD.
Important! If the HDD needs to be replaced or dismounted: Shut
down the NVR and then unplug the power cable before you open the
case to replace the HDD.
2
Tighten the 4 included HDD
mounting screws partly into
the HDD. You will completly
secure the screws in Step 3.
5
Connect the Serial ATA
data and the Serial ATA
power cables to the HDD
accordingly. When plugged in
correctly, the cable snaps in.
3
Turn the device upside-down
and let the screws slide into
the mounting holes then
secure the 4 HDD mounting
screws firmly.
6
Place the top cover back
and fix the 4 screws from the
bottom of the NVR.
