WARNING:

WARNING:
gripping surfaces when performing an operation where
cutting tools may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
Contact with a "live" wire will make exposed metal parts
of the tool "live" and shock the operator!
• Be aware that this tool is always in an
operating condition, because it does not have to
be plugged into an electric outlet.
• Always use the proper type of guard with
grinder accessories. a guard protects the operator
from broken wheel fragments.
• Accessories must be rated for at least the
speed recommended on the tool warning label.
wheels and other accessories running over the rated
speed can fly apart and cause injury.
• Make sure that the grinding wheel and the
guard is securely attached before operating the
grinder.
• Check the grinding wheel carefully for
visible defects before operation. replace

cracked, chipped, or warped wheels immediately.
run the tool (with guard) at no-load speed for about
a minute, holding tool away from others. if wheel is
flawed, it will likely separate during this test.
• When using depressed center grinding
wheels, be sure to use only fiberglass reinforced
wheels.
• Use only flanges and clamp nut specified
for this tool. Do not overtighten the clamp nut on
the grinding wheel. excessive tightening can cause the
wheel to crack during operation.
• NEVER use the tool with wood cutting
blades or other saw blades. such blades when
used on a grinder frequently kick back and cause loss
of control leading to personal injury.
• Hold the tool firmly with both hands.
• Keep hands away from rotating parts.
• Make sure the wheel is not contacting the
workpiece before turning on the switch.
• Before using the tool on an actual
workpiece, let it run for a while. watch for
vibration or wobbling that could indicate poor installation
or a poorly balanced wheel.
• Use the specified surface of the wheel to
perform the grinding. never use the side or upper
surfaces for cutting.
• Keep bystanders a safe distance away from
work area. anyone entering the work area must wear
