Attaching the auxiliary handle
1. Loosen and remove the pre-assembled
grip screw (5) of the auxiliary handle
(23).
2. Slide the auxiliary handle (23) over
the holder (10). The holder for the
spare spool (22) points upwards.
3. Insert the grip screw (5) through the
through-hole of the holder (10) for the
auxiliary handle.
4. Screw the auxiliary handle (23) tightly
using the grip screw (5).
Adjusting the auxiliary
handle
You can move the auxiliary handle (23)
to different positions. Adjust the auxiliary
handle so that the spool cap (20) is tilted
slightly forward as you work (see Cutting
grass, p. 35).
Procedure (Fig. C.1)
1. Loosen the grip screw (5).
2. Adjust the auxiliary handle (23) to the
desired position. The latching steps in-

handle changing position unintention-
ally.
3. Tighten the grip screw (5) again.
Adjusting the height on the
telescopic tube
The telescopic tube (13) allows you to ad-
just the device to your individual height.
Procedure (Fig. C.2)
1. Loosen the screw sleeve (12).
2. Adjust the telescopic tube (13) to the
desired length.
3. Tighten the screw sleeve (12) again.
Adjusting the position of the
motor head
WARNING! Risk of injury! The pro-
tective cover must not face away from the
user. Leave the position of the motor head
(16) in the 0° position when using the
device as a lawn trimmer in cutting angle
positions 1 - 4.
The position of the motor head (16) can
be rotated 180°.
Procedure (Fig. C.3)
1. Press the locking device (14) to release
the lock.
2. Turn the motor head (16) until it locks
into the desired position. The lock (14)
must engage again before you can use
the device safely.
Adjusting the cutting angle
Changing the cutting angle also allows
you to trim in inaccessible places, e.g. un-
der benches and ledges.
Procedure (Fig. C.4)
1. Press the lock button (15) to change
the tilt angle.
2. Tilt the telescopic tube (13) until the
