The following table will help you locate and eliminate minor faults:
Fault
The indicator lamp does
not light up after switching
on .
The indicator lamp
extinguishes after a few
seconds.
The fuse in the distributor
box triggers.
The airflow is too weak.
The appliance switches
itself off.
The appliance cannot
switch to warm air or
switches itself off after a
few seconds.

Troubleshooting

Possible cause
Plug not inserted into socket.
Fuse in electrical distribution
board switched off.
The appliance is not stable
and the safety switched has
switched it off.
Too many appliances con-
nected to the same power
circuit.
No fault detected.
There is contamination in the
air inlets or between the air
slots.
The appliance is tipped and
the safety switched has
switched it off.
The overheat protection has
switched off the appliance
because an ambient tem-
perature of approx. 30° C
was reached and/or the setup
location is constricted.
The surrounding temperature
is too high which triggers the
overheat protection.

Remedy
Insert plug.
Switch on fuse.
Place the pedestal of
the appliance on a firm
and flat surface.
Reduce the number of
appliances on the power
circuit.
Contact customer
service.
Eliminate possible con-
tamination as described
in the section Clean-
ing and maintenance
(page 25).
Place the pedestal of
the appliance on a firm
and flat surface. so that
it cannot tip.
Allow the appliance and
surroundings to cool
down and ensure space
for the air to circulate.
Switch on the appliance
only when the tempera-
ture of the appliance
and the surroundings
has fallen.
