Once you have fi nished cooking, tap the ON/OFF button once to turn the cooktop
off. The fan will keep functioning for some time to cool the unit down. Once the
fan has stopped, unplug the unit. Make sure you wait for the unit to cool off
completely before storing.

Automatic safety shutdown:

The cooktop has an automatic safety shutdown feature that will turn the cooktop off
automatically after a certain period of cooking time, as a safety measure in case the
cooktop is left on accidentally.
The time varies with the cooking level:
If you are cooking on power levels 1 or 2, the cooktop will turn itself off after 4 hours.
If you are cooking on power levels 3 or 4, the cooktop will turn itself off after 3 hours.
If you are cooking on power levels 5 or 6, the cooktop will turn itself off after 2 hours.
You can override this default setting by programming the Timer (see the next
section in this manual) . If you want to keep using the cooktop after the default
cooking time you can do so by pressing the ON/OFF and then the START buttons,
although we recommend that you let the unit cool down before using it again.
