guide bar:

• Loosen and remove
chain brake nuts and

bar and chain from
saw.
• Clean
the oil holes and bar groove
after
each 5 hours of operation.

As the unit is used, carbon deposits
build up
on the muffter
and spark
arresting
screen,
and must be removed
to avoid creating a fire
hazard or affecting
engine performance.
Replace the spark arresting
screen if breaks

BAR

If your saw cuts to one side, has to be forced
through the cut, or been run with an improper

of bar lubrication

sary to service your bar. A worn bar will dam-
age your chain and make cutting

IGNITION
TIMING
Ignition timing is fixed and nonadjustable.
SPARK
PLUG
The
spark
plug
should
be replaced
each
year to ensure the engine starts easier and
runs better.
• Loosen and removethe
screws on the cyb
inder cover.
• Remove
the cylinder
cover.
• Pull off the spark plug boot.
• Remove
spark plug from cylinder
and dis-
card.
• Replace
with
Champion
RCJ~TY
spark
plug and tighten
securely
with a 3/4 inch
socket wrench.
Spark plug gap should be
0.025 inches.
• Reinstall
the spark plug boot.
• Reinstall
the cylinder
cover
and screws.
Tighten securely.
