10. BICYCLE ADJUSTMENT
Settlement of the tire
After repair and replace the tire is important a correct settlement of it
in the rim.
1. Check with the hands that the edge tire is inside the external part of
the rim.
2. Pum up partially the tuve with the hand pump.
3. Examine the tire to check that the valve is inside the rim.
Edge not settled or out of the wheel
Deflated the tube, it is settled the edge and pump up partially the tube
for inspection. If the edge is correctly settled, pump up with the suitable
pressure.
For a safe operating, it has to be the pedal axle firmly set in the thread
of cranks.
Replace the damaged pedals in any case.
Start by hand of each pedal assembled axile not to damage the cranks.
1. Find the letter "R" or "L" coined in the pedal axle.
2. Assemble the coined pedal "R" in the right crank (same freewheel
side). Turn the axle in clockwise direction. Tighten firmly with 15mm
wrench.
3. Place the marked pedal "L" in the left crank of the bicycle. Turn the
pedal axle in the anti-clockwise direction and tighten firmly with the
15mm wrench.
Assure that each pedal is correctly tighten. It is important to wear
the suitable footwear for use of the bicycle.
