PREPARING CAPPUCCINO

The steam can be used to preheat cups, warm liquids
or prepare cappuccino coffee. A cappuccino is
espresso coffee with a little milk and a layer of froth.
This froth made with cold milk in a jug, using the steam
nozzle and then added to the espresso coffee.
In order to avoid excess pressure on the inside of
the filter, it is advisable to remove the filter holder
before using the steam.
Make sure that button (12) is ON (fig. 10).
Next, press the steam function switch (14) (figure 11)
and you will see the function lamp (15) light up. When
the green pilot lamp (17) lights up, this indicates that
steam has reached the right temperature.
1. Turn the steam regulator knob (11) clockwise, (fig.
14) and place a container below the steam nozzle
(21) (figure 15). When the water inside the pipe
finishes coming out, place the nozzle inside the jug
of milk and turn the steam control knob again so that
steam comes out.
2. Lift the jug up and down slightly. Try not to let the
liquid go above the top of the nozzle as this will
prevent air from entering. To obtain frothy milk, place
the steam pipe just on the surface of the milk.
3. Add the frothy milk to the coffee. If you want you
can sprinkle it with cinnamon, nutmeg or grated
chocolate and decorate it with a stick of cinnamon.
Important: Clean the nozzle of any leftover milk when
you have finished preparing the frothy milk. It is
advisable to give the nozzle a quick burst of steam
to clean it out.
4. Clean the steam nozzle regularly but always with
the appliance unplugged and cold (fig. 19). Remove
the accessory from the steam pipe and clean the
outside of the nozzle with a soft damp cloth. The
accessory can be washed under the tap.
FROM CAPPUCCINO TO COFFEE AGAIN
Press the steam pressure switch (14) to switch the
steam off and the indicator lamp (15) will go out,
allowing the coffee maker to cool down.
Place a container below the steam nozzle (21), turn
the steam regulator knob (11) allowing any residual
steam to escape. As soon as steam stops coming
out through the nozzle, close the steam regulator
knob (11) (figure 17)
The coffee maker is now ready to make coffee again.

Make sure that the coffee maker is unplugged and

can be washed with soapy water.
Never immerse the coffee maker in water or any other
liquid.
Use a damp cloth to periodically wipe clean the area
where the filter holder sits, in order to remove any
leftover coffee that may have become stuck to it.
Remove the filter holder with care as it may still contain
some hot water.
Do not replace the filter holder if you are not gong to
use the coffee maker for a while, as this will help the
rubber seal last longer. Do not wash any of the parts
in the dishwasher.
DESCALING
The coffee maker should be descaled regularly.
Frequency will depend on water hardness and use.
To do this, fill the water tank (9) with a mix of three
