Startup
1. Measure the water pressure at the sample inlet. If the pressure is
higher than the specifications, install the optional sample regulator.

2. Install the probes. Refer to

• Make sure that the plastic caps have been removed from the end
of the pH and conductivity probes.
• Make sure that the probes are connected to the junction box
(Figure
6).
3. Connect the panel to power. Connect the power cord into a suitable
outlet or, if hard-wired, use the customer supplied switch to set the
power to on.
4. Connect the controller to power. Connect the controller data cable to
the junction box on the panel. Refer to
5. Set up the sc1000 controller to agree with the site requirements.
Refer to the controller user manual for more information.
6. Calibrate the turbidity sensor, the pH probe and the conductivity
probe. Refer to the controller and probe user manuals for specific
calibration instructions.
7. Prepare the chlorine analyzer for operation.
a. Set the line voltage. Refer to
b. Prepare and install the reagents, stir magnet and pinch plate.
c. Prepare the chlorine analyzer reagents. Refer to the chlorine
analyzer user manual.
8. Slowly open the inlet valve to supply water to the panel.
9. Let the panel operate for 4 to 6 hours to stabilize the panel
instruments and probes.
