5.4.2 PA liner
8 Cut off the liner (9) at the front of the torch handle (3) or sealing plug (10)
so that it is flush.
9 Unscrew the nut (6).
10Pull the liner (9) back out.
11 Cut the front of the liner (9) back 40 mm (or 53 mm if using the sealing plug
(10)) and grind it to an angle of 40°. The liner's insulation must not be
further removed in either case.
12 Deburr the cutting edges.
13 Screw the insulating piece (2) hand tight into the torch neck seat (small
edge first).
14 Push in the liner (9).
The remaining excess length of the nipple (approx. 14 mm) of the liner (9) is
used to preload the liner.
15 Screw on the nut (6).
NOTICE
• New, as yet unused PA liners have to be abridged to the actual length of
the cable assembly.
• For PA liners with an outer diameter of 4.00 mm, the capillary tube in the
distance adaptor must be replaced with a guide tube.
For using aluminium, copper, nickel and stainless steels.

1 Disconnect the cable assembly (4) on the machine side and lay it out
straight.
2 Unscrew the nut (6) from the central connector (7).
3 Sharpen the start of the PA liner to an angle of 40° using an
ABICOR BINZEL sharpener.

Slide the sharpened liner into the contact tip up to the stop.

Slide the sharpened liner into the torch neck liner up to the stop (with the
torch neck mounted).

Slide the sharpened liner through the wire conduit into the insulating bush
(2) of the torch handle up to the solid stop.
5 Push the retaining nipple, O-ring and nut (6) onto the PA liner.
