General NOTES DUOX WIRING
DUOX is characterized by its flexibility in the use of different cable types. For ideal operation,
it is recommended to use 2x1mm² parallel cable. (Ref. 5925).
It is preferable to avoid:
1. Doubling cables (joining 2 pairs to increase section).
2. Using different cable type or changing the section throughout the installation.
3. Loose wires (electrical installation wiring not within its hose).
4. Different length cables.
As Duox is a system designed for replacement, it works with the existing wiring in older
installations:
Parallel (black-red). 0.2mm² minimum
• UTP CAT-5
• Hose with several wires (for example, 5 wires, 6 wires...etc.)
• 4+N Installations
Naturally, we cannot access an installation offering the same features and flexibility of
installation when the cable section is 0.2mm² as when it is 1mm².
