BREWING COFFEE

Cleaning the Coffee maker Before First Use
Follow the steps below under "Adding Water and Ground Coffee" and "Brewing
Coffee Now", but do not add coffee grounds.
Selecting and Measuring Ground Coffee
For best results, use coffee ground for use with automatic drip coffee makers. The
amounts shown below are suggested amounts.

Adding Water and Ground Coffee
1. Open the lid, turn showerhead to the back and lift out
the removable basket. See Figure 4.
2. Place the permanent filter into the removable filter
basket.
3. Add the desired amount of ground coffee to the
permanent filter. Gently shake the filter to level the
ground coffee. Be certain that the permanent filter is
centered in the middle of the removable basket.
4. Place the removable filter basket back in its place in
the coffee maker. Return the showerhead to the front
ensuring it is pointing to the center of the permanent
filter.
5. Fill the water reservoir with the desired amount of tap
water. See Figure 5.
6. Close the lid.
7. Place the decanter on the warming plate.
If the removable basket overflows or fails to empty
into the decanter, do not open the lid. An overflow may cause personal injury or
damage to property.
