5.3 Measuring the maximum,
minimum, and average
temperatures
In the so-called "Record" mode, the
maximum, minimum, and average tem-
peratures can be indicated on the main
display (a). With the "Record" mode
activated ("RECORD" is indicated on the
top left of the display), the automatic cut-
off is out of operation and the following
buttons are locked:

1) Actuate the button "MIN/MAX" (10).
On the top left of the display "RE-
CORD MAX" is indicated. The maxi-
mum temperature is indicated to-
gether with the time when the maxi-
mum was measured.
2) By repeated actuation of the button
"MIN/MAX", the minimum tempera-
ture is indicated together with the time
when the minimum was measured.
On the top right of the display "RE-
CORD MIN" is indicated.
3) Upon the 3rd actuation of the button
"MIN/MAX", the average tempera-
ture is indicated. "RECORD AVG" is
displayed.
4) To indicate the current temperature,
press the button "MIN/MAX" once
again. Now only "RECORD" is dis-
played.
5) By repeated actuation of the button
"MIN/MAX" the maximum, minimum,
and average temperatures as well as
the current temperature can be indi-
cated successively.
6) To deactive the "Record" mode, keep
the button "MIN/MAX" pressed until
the display "RECORD" is extin-
guished.

5.4 Warning in case of upper or
lower deviations from limiting
values
If the main display (a) indicates upper or
lower deviations from an upper or lower
limiting value entered before, a warning
signal can be released by the internal
buzzer.
1) Press the button "SET" (12). The
main display (a) shows
2) Press the button "HOLD" (9). "SET
LIMIT Hi" is indicated on the top right
of the display.
3) For all buttons, now the marking
above the buttons applies so that the
upper limiting value can be entered
via the corrresponding buttons. Al-
ways enter a 4-digit value plus one
digit after the comma, e. g 0030 5 for
30.5°. To enter a temperature in the
minus range, press the button "-0"
(4) after entering the numbers.
In case of input errors, press the
button "HOLD" so many times until
the main display indicates the sensor
temperature again. Then start the
input process once again.
4) After entering the upper limiting
value, press the button "HOLD" (9)
again. "SET LIMIT Lo" is indicated on
the top right of the display.
