2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Gerät entspricht allen erforderlichen Richtlinien
der EU und ist deshalb mit
gekennzeichnet.
WARNUNG Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefähr -
licher Netzspannung (230 V~) ver-
sorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb niemals
selbst Eingriffe am Gerät vor und ste-
cken Sie nichts durch die Lüftungs -
öffnungen! Es besteht die Gefahr
eines elektrischen Schlages.
Beachten Sie auch unbedingt die folgenden Punkte:

Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur im In nen bereich
und schützen Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser,
hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze (zu lässiger Ein-
satztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).

Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gefäße,
z. B. Trinkgläser, auf das Gerät.

Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb und ziehen
Sie sofort den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose,
1. wenn sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder an der
Netzanschlussleitung vorhanden sind,
2. wenn nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der
Verdacht auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. wenn Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Geben Sie das Gerät in jedem Fall zur Reparatur
in eine Fachwerkstatt.

Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nie an der Zuleitung
aus der Steckdose, fassen Sie immer am Stecker
an.

Fassen Sie das Gerät beim Transport nur am Unter-
teil an. Auf keinen Fall das Gerät am Schwenkkopf
(7) oder Dreharm (6) tragen.

Please observe the following items in any case:

The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient tempera-
ture range 0 – 40 °C).

Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on the
unit, e. g. a drinking glass.
G
Do not operate the unit and immediately discon-
nect the mains plug from the mains socket
1. if there is visible damage to the unit or to the
mains cable,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit
was dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled
personnel.

Never pull the mains cable for disconnecting the
mains plug from the mains socket, always seize
the plug.

When transporting the unit, only seize the lower
part of the unit. Never carry the unit by the pan
head (7) or the rotary arm (6).

For cleaning the housing only use a dry, soft cloth,
never use chemicals or water.
G
No guarantee for the unit and no liability for any
resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the unit is used for other pur-
poses than originally intended, if it is not safely

3 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Der Moving-Head-Farbwechsler WASH-36LED ist
be sonders für den professionellen Ein satz auf der
Bühne und in Diskotheken geeignet. Er erzeugt
farbiges Licht durch 36 extrem helle LEDs, die in
Rot, Grün und Blau leuchten. Es sind auch musikge-
steuerte Farbwechsel, langsame Farbüberblendun-
gen und Stroboskop-Effekte möglich. Die 16-Bit-Auf -
lösung für die Kopfbewegung erlaubt mit einer
variablen Ge schwindigkeit eine sehr genaue Positio-
nierung des Lichtstrahls. Die automatische Reposi-
tionierung bewirkt, dass der Kopf beim Verdrehen
durch äußere Einflüsse selbsttätig in die Ausgangs-
lage zurückkehrt.
Das Gerät ist für die Steuerung über ein DMX-
Lichtsteuergerät ausgelegt (15 DMX-Steuerkanäle,
umschaltbar auf 8 Kanäle), kann aber auch ohne
Steuergerät oder mit der als Zubehör erhältlichen
Fernbedienung LC-3 betrieben werden.

Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accor-
dance with the following code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be connected to the terminal in the plug
which is marked with the letter E or by the earth
symbol , or coloured green or green and yellow.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning – This appliance must be earthed.
If the unit is to be put out of operation defin-
itively, take it to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the envi-
ronment.
3 Applications
The Moving Head Colour Changer WASH-36LED is
ideally suited for professional applications on stage
and in discothèques. It creates coloured light due to
36 extra bright LEDs which light up in red, green,
and blue. Colour changes by music control, slow
colour transitions, and stroboscopic effects are also
possible. The 16-bit resolution for the head move-
ment allows a most precise positioning of the light
4 Montage
WICHTIG
Platzieren Sie das Gerät immer so, dass im Betrieb
eine ausreichende Luftzirkulation gewährleistet ist.

Der Abstand zu angrenzenden Flächen muss
mindestens 1 m betragen.

Die Lüftungsöffnungen am Gehäuse dürfen auf
keinen Fall abgedeckt werden.
Das Gerät kann auf einer festen, ebenen Fläche auf-
gestellt werden. Es lässt sich mithilfe der Befesti-
gungsmöglichkeiten der Bodenplatte aber auch
kopfüber an einer Traverse montieren. Die Boden-
platte ist in der Abbildung 4 auf der Seite 37 darge-
stellt. Zur Befestigung werden stabile Montage-
schellen be nötigt. Die Schellen direkt in die
M10-Ge winde (17) schrauben oder an dem mitgelie-
ferten Montagebügel (19) befestigen. Die Bolzen
(20) des Bügels, wie in der Abbildung gezeigt, in die
vorgesehenen Öffnungen (16) in der Bodenplatte
stecken und im Uhrzeigersinn verriegeln (bis zum
Anschlag drehen). Die Montagestelle muss ausrei-
chend stabil sein und eine Last von min. 20 kg pro
Gerät tragen können.
WARNUNG Das Gerät muss fachgerecht und
sicher montiert werden. Wird es an
einer Stelle installiert, unter der sich
Personen aufhalten können, muss es
zusätzlich gesichert werden (z. B.
durch ein Fangseil). Das Fangseil
durch die beiden Öffnungen (18) in der Mitte der
Bodenplatte ziehen und so befestigen, dass der
Fallweg des Gerätes nicht mehr als 20 cm be tragen
kann.

The unit can be controlled via a DMX light con-
troller (15 DMX control channels, switchable to
8 channels), but it can also be operated without con-
troller or via the remote control LC-3 available as an
accessory.
4 Mounting
IMPORTANT
Always place the unit in such a way that a sufficient
air circulation will be ensured during operation.

The unit must have a minimum distance of 1 m to
adjoining surfaces.
G
Never cover the air vents of the housing.
The unit may be set up on a solid and even surface.
By means of the fixing facilities of the base plate, the
unit can also be mounted upside down to a cross
arm. The base plate is shown in figure 4 on page 37.
For fixing, stable mounting clips are required.
Directly screw the clips into the M10 threads (17) or
fasten them to the supplied mounting bracket (19).
As shown in the figure, place the bolts (20) of the
bracket into the openings (16) provided in the base
plate and turn them clockwise (to the stop) to lock
them. The mounting place must be of sufficient sta-
bility and be capable of carrying a minimum load of
20 kg per unit.
WARNING The unit must be mounted expertly and
safely. If it is installed as a suspended
load above persons, it must addition-
ally be secured (e. g. by a safety rope).
Pull the safety rope through the two
openings (18) in the centre of the base
plate and fasten it in such a way that the falling dis-
tance of the unit may not exceed 20 cm.
