3.9.2. Battery

Store in a place that is as cool as possible but frost-free.

Remove the battery from the workbench, store it in an enclosed dry room.
Store the battery in its closed and undamaged original packaging.
Always store the battery upright, not on its side or overhead.
Keep fully charged when in store.
Every six months, recharge the battery to 75 % state of charge.

Reduction of the charge capacity of the battery due to cumulative ageing in use.

4. Commissioning

4.1. INITIAL COMMISSIONING

4.1.1. Installing the battery

Only an electrician may install the battery.
1. Open the original packaging.
2. Grip the battery by the carrying handles and take it out.
» Keep the original packaging for subsequent storage and transport.
3. Open the side compartment.
4. Place the battery in the side compartment.
» Ensure adequate circulation of air. Check the distance from the rear panel.
5. Plug the mains cable supplied into the 230 V-AC input connection on the rear face of the bat-
tery.
6. Insert the mains plug for the control module into the 230 V-AC output connection on the front
face of the battery.

4.1.2. Charging the battery

1. Insert the mains plug into a mains socket.
2. The battery is being charged and can be used whilst charging is in progress.

4.1.3. Switching the battery on

1. Keep the power button depressed.
» The start menu will appear.
» POWER is pre-selected.
2. Confirm with OK.
