Intended use

The CMS-MOD-BS 120 stationary belt sander has
been designed as a sander and polisher for plas-
tics, wood and wood-like materials. It can also be
used for metals to a lesser extent considering the
non-resistant aluminium table and increased belt
wear.
The belt sander module CMS-MOD-BS 120 may
only be used in connection with basic unit CMS-GE.
The user is liable for improper or non-in-
tended use.

Machine-related safety instructions
– Do not use torn or damaged sanding belts.
– Make sure that the guards provided are correctly
mounted before starting work.
– Make sure that no components such as stops, ex-
tractors, guards, etc. catch on the belt by rotating
by hand before starting work.
– Check that the belt is correctly adjusted by rotat-
ing by hand before starting work.
– Remove any objects which are not part of the ma-
chine or are not needed for work from the table
before starting the machine.
– Harmful/toxic dusts can be produced during
your work (e.g. lead-containing paint, some
types of wood and metal). Contact with these
dusts, especially inhaling them, can represent a
hazard for operating personnel or persons in the
vicinity. Comply with the safety regulations that
apply in your country. Connect the electric power
tool to a suitable extraction system.
To protect your health, wear a P2 protective
mask.
Always wear protective goggles to protect
against sanding hazards.
4.3

Emission levels

The noise measurements were carried out accord-
ing to the instructions in EN 61029:
– Emission values at place of work
Idling/processing: 76/82 dB(A)
– Noise power level
Idling/processing: 89/95 dB(A)
– Measurement tolerance K = 4 dB
Wear ear protection.
The specified emissions values (vibration, noise)
– are used to compare machines.
– They are also used for making preliminary esti-
mates regarding vibration and noise loads during
operation.
– They represent the primary applications of the
power tool.
Increase possible for other applications, with other
insertion tools or if not maintained adequately. Take
note of idling and downtimes of machine!
