2) Remove the test tips from the circuit to be
tested.
3) Remove the screw at the rear panel of the
multimeter and take the panel off.
4) Insert the batteries while watching the po-
larity indicated into the battery compart-
ments.
5) Remount and screw again the rear panel.

Fuse Replacement
The multimeter is fused with a fuse F 0.5 A
quick-acting. In case of defective fuse the
multimeter must be opened to insert a new
fuse of the same type. To open the multimeter,
see chapter 6 "Battery Replacement".
