household use and cannot be used for any other
purpose than cutting grass.

GENERAL SAFETY RULES

1) Use of the appliance is prohibited under sixteen
years of age.
2) The lawnmower has a safety key which must be
removed when the mower is left unattended and
for inspection, maintenance or storage.
3) The operator is liable to third parties for any
damages caused in the work area by the use of
the mower.
4) Only work in good sunlight or artificial
illumination.
5) Always check the machine is in good working
order since it may cause a hazard for the
operator.
6) Make sure that all the guards have been
mounted and do not remove any part of the
machine.
7) Never use the mower when you are tired.
8) Never start the mower in confined or poorly
ventilated spaces and next to inflammable or
explosive liquids, gases or dust.
9) Maintenance and cleaning or cutting height
adjustments must be carried out with the motor
off and with the safety key removed.
10) Before use always check for wear, damage on
the cutting tool and overall mower and make
sure that all screws are tight.
11) If a machine part should break or the motor shaft
should bend after a collision, the mower should
be controlled by a specialist , making sure that
only genuine spare parts are used.
12) When mounting and removing the blade follow
the instructions and wear protective gloves
(fig. I-L-M).
13) Free the lawn of any foreign bodies before
beginning to mow. When mowing the lawn pay
great attention for any objects left on the lawn
(fig. R).
14) When using the mower always wear tough, slip-
proof work shoes and long trousers. Never go
bare foot or wear sandals.
15) The grassbox should be used, if this is not
possible always keep the guard flap closed.
16) Never lift the mower off the ground with the
motor running.
17) Never put hands or feet under the mower or in
the discharge with the motor running
(fig. N-O-P).
18) Before removing the grassbox, switch off the
motor and wait for the blades to stop.
19) Always respect the safety distance given by the
handle.
