Never entrust the machine to anyone who is not familiar with the operating instructions.
Keep these operating instructions near the machine. This will allow your operating personnel easy
access to information at any time, and will enable them to take the appropriate action should any technical
malfunctions occur.

GENERAL
A chafing dish can be used to keep all kinds of food hot. If the correct temperature is selected, the food will
retain its consistency and appearance.
The chafing dish works by keeping the food hot indirectly over a water bath. The chafing dish is not designed
for boiling or frying food.
Like all WMF chafing dishes the HOT & FRESH can be heated either by paste burners or electrically. For best
results we recommend using WMF original heating elements and paste burners (see Data Sheet on last page
of Operator's Manual). However, the special feature of the HOT & FRESH is an encapsulated Transtherm® base
which allows it to be used on all standard induction hobs.
Due to the difference in temperature between the inside and the outside of the lid, condensation will
inevitably form. All HOT & FRESH chafing dishes are therefore fitted with a channel in the lid to collect
condensate via an adapter ring and return it to the water bath.
