2. Mount the adapter module (1) with 2 hexagonal socket-head screws
(ISO7380-2) M4 x 25 (3) on the AV05 base plate.
– Make sure that the seal is positioned correctly between the two
housings.
– Make sure that the plug-type connection pins are not bent and make
contact with the corresponding socket in the base plate.
Tightening torque: 1.5 ±0.2 Nm
Mount on an AV03-AV05 transition plate
1. Disassembly the existing AV valve system according to the instructions,
if necessary.
2. Mount the adapter module (1) with 1 hexagonal socket-head screws
(DIN912) M4 x 35 (4) and 1 hexagonal socket-head screw (DIN912)
M4 x 16 (5) as well as 2 washers (6) on the AV05 transition plate.
– Make sure that the seal is positioned correctly between the two
housings.
– Make sure that the plug-type connection pins are not bent and make
contact with the corresponding socket in the base plate.

Mount the B-design valve system
1. Now join the adapter module to the valve system with B-design interface
on a flat surface.
– Make sure that the triple row socket strip is not offset from the pins
on the valve system.
– Make sure that the seal between the housings is positioned correctly
in the slot.

2. Screw both devices with 2 hexagonal socket-head screws (DIN 912)
M5 x 14 mm (2) to the corresponding valve system with B-DESIGN
interface, e.g. HF02-LG.
Tightening torque: 3 +0.5 Nm
3. Complete the AV valve system according to the instructions and
configuration, if necessary.
Pilot air exhaust AV05
Connection G1/8" (7) is used to exhaust the pilot air of the AV system.
Danger caused by closing the pilot exhaust!
Malfunctions may occur to the device.
O Never close the pilot exhaust.

Commissioning and Operation
Hot surfaces!
Touching the transition plate during operating may lead to burns. The
device may have a hot surface under unfavorable operating conditions.
O Let the device cool off before disassembling it.
O Do not touch the device during operation.
O Observe the system descriptions for your valve system components on
the CD (R412018133) enclosed with the bus coupler.
The adapter module is shown as "Valve driver (32DO-BDESIGN)" in
the PLC configuration program.
Process data
In the control, the adapter module occupies 4 bytes for the 32 outputs. The
output bytes are occupied as follows:

Diagnostic data
The diagnostic message (group diagnostics) of the adapter module consists
of a diagnostic bit, which is set if:
W
An output is overloaded or there is a short circuit at the output, or
W
The UA voltage on the adapter module is not available.
The diagnostic bit can be read as follows:
W
Bit = 1: An error has occurred.
W
Bit = 0: No error has occurred.

Conversion and Extension
Conversion and extension of a valve system with adapter module are
possible within the limits of the valve system.
O Observe the corresponding instructions for the valve system.
Conversion and extensions in the I/O zone are possible within the limits of
the AES system.
O Observe the corresponding system descriptions on the
CD (R412018133).
