5. SETUP FUNCTIONS (DVD)
5.1 Using the Setup Main Menu
The Setup main menu lets you customize your DTB-D700F by allowing you to select various
language preferences, set up a parental level, even adjust the player to the type of television
screen you have.
With the unit in Stop mode, press the DISPLAY key on the remote.
• Language
: Setup of the Language Options.
- Player Menus, Disc Menus, Disc Audio and
Disc Subtitle
• Audio Setup : Setup of the Audio Options.
- Dolby Digital, MPEG, Dynamic
Compression and PCM Down Sampling
• Display Setup : Setup of the Display Options.
- TV Aspect, Screen Message, Front
Display, Screen Saver Time, Audio Screen
Saver and SCART Output
• Parental
: Setup of the Parental Level. Allows users to set
the level necessary to prevent children from
viewing unsuitable movies such as those with
violence, adult subject matter, etc.
- Use Password, Parental Level and Change
Password
Use the
/
keys on the remote to access the different features.
Press the OK key to access the sub features.
To make the setup screen disappear after setting up, press
the DISPLAY key again.

5.2 Setting Up the Language Features
If you set the player menus, disc menus, disc audio and subtitle language in advance,
they will come up automatically every time you watch a movie.
Press the STOP key, and then press the DISPLAY key.
The main menu is displayed.
Use the
/
keys to select Language, then press the
OK key.
• Player Menus : To set the OSD languages.
• Disc Menus
: This function changes the text language
only on the disc menu screens.
• Disc Audio
: To set the language of the sound output
from the speakers.
• Disc Subtitle : To set the language of the subtitles
displayed on the TV. If the selected
language is not recorded on the disc, the
original pre- recorded language is selected.
Use the
/
keys to select sub menus, then press the
ENTER key.
Use the
/
keys to select the desired language, and
then press the OK key.
To make the setup main menu disappear, press the OK key.

: Select "Other Selection" if the language you want is
not listed.
Some discs may not contain the language you select
as your initial language; in that case the disc will use its
original language setting.
Disc Subtitle menu is a disc dependent.
There are some DVD discs that prevent selecting
subtitle even if it supports multiple subtitles.
In this case subtitle should be selected via disc menu.
