Setting up and connecting
▪ Remove all packaging from the appliance.
▪ Clean the appliance before commissioning/using it for the fi rst time and after each use, in accord-
ance with the information in the "Cleaning and care" section. A slight smell of burning may occur
when the appliance is used for the fi rst time, caused by the burning off of any lubricants remaining
in the heating element. This does not affect the safety of the appliance.
▪ Place the appliance on a level and fi rm surface near a socket.
▪ Insert the mains plug (cold-appliance plug) on the rear of the appliance.

Initial operation

Fondue/ hot pot
▪ Only use the fondue pot that is supplied, do not use any other pots.
▪ Fill the fondue pot with the required amount of oil or stock (bouillon) and make sure the fi lling
level is between the MIN and MAX markings.
▪ Place the fondue pot on the hot plate and attach the splash guard ring with fork holder.
▪ Warning: fi re hazard! Never operate without the fondue pot or when the pot is empty.
▪ Insert the mains plug in the socket. The LED ring on the temperature control knob lights up white.
▪ Turn the temperature control knob to the right. During the heating-up phase, the LED ring lights
up red. Depending on the temperature level, this can take a few minutes. As soon as the tempera-
ture for the set temperature level is reached, the LED ring is lit white.
Note: The raclette continues to heat when at the maximum temperature setting, in order to
achieve perfect results. The LED ring therefore is permanently lit red.
Note: It should take around 20 minutes to pre-heat oil or stock (bouillon) in the pot, before adding
meat, fi sh or vegetables. Turn down the temperature slightly if necessary.
▪ Cut the ingredients for the fondue or hot pot into bite-sized pieces or slices before dipping them.
▪ Load the food that you want to cook onto the forks and hang them in the pot. Use a holder in the
lid for each fork.
▪ Insert the lower thin part of the fork handle into the holder fi rst. Then allow the fork to slide down
in the holder as far as it will go.
▪ Cook the food in the fondue pot according to the desired cooking time.
▪ Remove the forks again in the reverse order, taking care to avoid any fat that may drip off
them.
Grade: The stock or oil must not start to bubble, it must only simmer gently. Turn down the
temperature slightly if necessary.
Warning: risk of burns: When using the raclette function at the same time, the grill plate also
gets hot.
▪ After use, turn the temperature control knob to the left as far as it will go and pull the mains plug out.
▪ Allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning or storing it. (See the section "Clean-
ing and care").
