Replacing the Battery
Controller requires a CR2032 Lithium battery .
• The battery will maintain your program in case of an AC
power loss .

• Battery should last approximately one year .
• Open by sliding the battery tray out to the right .
• Insert one CR2032 battery into the compartment
with the + side up .
• Slide back into place .
A weak or missing battery can cause the time, date, and
program to be erased after a power failure . If this happens,
you will need to install a fully charged battery and reprogram
the controller .

The time the landscape lights turn on in each station .
A controller feature that allows a program to be operated multiple times on the same day .
When a "Start Time" is set for a STATIONS before the previous program has completed .
Individual stations as set by the user . Each station operates independently . If one station
overlaps the other the stations will be "stacked ." After the first station finishes the next
station will begin .
A device which instructs the station lights to operate .
A grouping of lights which are regulated by the controller .
Tip: Replace battery every year, to avoid loss of programming.
Note: A battery alone will not operate the valves in your landscape
lighting. The lighting controller has a built-in transformer that must
be connected to an AC line voltage source.
Section 5:
Determining the Number of
Lights
The total wattage of all lights (added together) must be equal to
or less than 54 watts . Individual light wattages can be mixed but
must not exceed a total of 54 watts .
Example: Eighteen 3 watt lights use 54 watts (18 x 3 = 54) .
Very long runs of wire may reduce the number of lights that
can be used . If the load exceeds the capacity of the HRL-100-
60W, the lights will flash on/off . Remove lights until the flashing
stops .
