Cleaning the Air
Filter
The air filter should be cleaned after
approximately 500 hours use. Remove the
air filter cover then remove the dust with a
cloth lightly dampened with mild
detergent solution.
The time needed to clean the air filter will
vary depending on the environment or
how the projector is used.

Turn the power off and unplug the ower
cord.

Place a protective sheet (cloth) beneath the
projector and turn the projector over.

Remove the air filter cover.

Remove the filter inside, and then wipe its
dust with mild detergent.

Return the filter to the air filter cover.

Return the air filter cover.
Notes
• If the dust cannot be removed from the air filter,
replace the air filter with a new one.
• For details on new air filter, consult with
qualified Sony personnel.
• Be sure to attach the air filter cover firmly; it
may cause a problem if the air filter cover is not
installed properly.
