7. Life Phases
7.3.6 Load distribution
A small example: You are building a table with four lifting
columns. Each lifting column can bear 1000 N. Thus, the lif-
ting columns together must bear a load Fmax = 4000 N, if
the load is symmetrically in the centre of the table. If the load
moves into a corner of the table, then the lifting column has
to bear almost the entire load of 4000 N under this corner.
This would inevitably lead inexorably overload. Even at the
planning stage of your application, pay attention not only to
the total load, but also the load on the individual lifting co-
lumns.
7.4 Assembly
Anchoring bores for M8 threaded bolts for installing the lifing column are located in the push rod
and fixing plate motor side. The fixing screws are not included in the delivery.
The tightening torques to be observed can be obtained in the chart in chapter 7.4.1.
For guaranteed rigidity, it is essential to stipulate an adequately dimensioned foundation to
absorb the stated maximum compressive and tensile forces and the torque loading.
7.4.1 Tightening torques
Torque guideline values for metric shaft screws to DIN 4762 at 90 percent use of the 0.2 % ex-
pansion limit, for a coefficient of friction of 0.14.
