WARNING ! Keep fi rm footing and balance during operation.
Always attach the product to the harness. Do not carry it only
with your hands!
Thin branches
Thin branches can be cut off with one single cut. To prevent the branch from slivering and buckling the
branch should be cut off in several pieces .
Thick branches
When cutting off larger branches three cuts are necessary.
- First cut into the branch from below outside the place where you intend to cut off the branch. The
cut should go from one third to halfway through the branch.
- Cut into the branch from the top outside at the same height the branch is sawn from top.
- Last, cut off the stump with one clean cut from top to bottom.
- You might want to seal the cut with a suitable compound.
NOTE: Remove the branches lying on the fl oor regularly to avoid stumbling hazards. Check the oil
level regularly and fi ll up if necessary.Switch the power off and remove the battery pack when
leaving the product.
- The appliance should be inspected before use and after dropping or other impacts in order identify
any signifi cant damage or defects.
- Hazards which may be encountered when using the pruner and avoid them when carrying out
typical tacks, and keep bystanders away while operating the machine.
- Beware of falling branches or those rebound after hitting the ground , remove these branches in
sections and operate in the dangerous positions.
- Keep a fi rm footing and balance during operation,including the need to use the harness provided.
Never stand directly under the limb while you are sawing. Objects may fall diff erent than expected.
Always position yourself out of the path of falling limbs.
WARNING! Never climb into a tree to prune! Do not stand on
ladders, platforms, logs, or in any position which may cause
you to lose your balance or control of the product! When
pruning trees, it is important not to make the fl ush cut next to main
limb or trunk until you have cut off the limb further out to reduce the
weight! This prevents stripping the bark from the main member!
WARNING! This product has not been designed to provide
protection from electric shock in the event of contact with
overhead electric lines! Therefore do not use product near
cable, electric power or telephone lines. Keep a minimum distance of 10
m to all electric lines.

Causes and operator prevention of kickback
Kickback may occur when the nose or tip of the guide bar touches an object, or when the wood closes
in and pinches the saw chain in the cut. Tip contact in some cases may cause a sudden reverse reaction,
kicking the guide bar up and back towards the operator. Pinching the saw chain along the top of the
guide bar may push the guide bar rapidly back towards the operator. Either of these reactions may cause
