CONTROLS AND SETTINGS
LEVEL ADJUSTER
1.
Back-lighting compensation: Subjects will appear dark and hardly visible if lit by a strong light from the
back. Position dip-switch 4.BLC to the OFF position to adequately compensate for and avoid this
problem.
2.
Automatic exposure control: Position dip-switch 2.AES to OFF to automatically vary the electronic
shutter speed according to the light conditions in the environment.
Important note:
•
It is advisable not to use the automatic exposition control function (2.AES dip switch in the OFF
position) because the 1090/129 camera is provided with AUTO-IRIS optics which does not
normally require electronic exposure setting.
•
Use of automatic electronic shutter control may cause flickering when a source of fluorescent
light is framed.
3.
Automatic gain control: use the automatic gain control (dip-switch 3.AGC to position OFF) to ensure
sharp pictures in medium-to-low light conditions.
4.
Anti-flickering mode: Flickering on the screen may be caused by a fluorescent 50 Hz light source. To
reduce this problem, turn dip switch 1.FL to the OFF position.
Automatic white balancing: The 1090/129 camera implements an automatic white balancing circuit which is
capable of correcting the colour tones as environmental light conditions change.
Level adjustment: Use the LEVEL controls (see figure) if the picture is not clear and sharp.
Important note
This control is set by the manufacturer and must not normally be changed.
