Flywheel Holding Tool
3788-13 for Crank Pulley Removal
• To remove the timing belt, the crankshaft
pulley must be removed.
• 3788-13 must be used to lock the flywheel
whilst releasing the pulley bolt. Do not use
Locking Pins.

• 3788-1 and 3788-2 Locking Pins special

• Tensioner Adjuster 3788-19 locates into the
square drive on the belt tensioner to apply
correct tension.
NOTE:
A suitable Belt Tension Gauge
must be used.
In all cases the manufacturer's
specification and procedure must
be adhered to.

Timing Belt Retaining Clip 3788-20
• When fitting a new belt to the crankshaft
gear retain in place with 3788-20. Fit belt in
an anti-clockwise direction to crankshaft
gear, guide roller, injection pump sprocket,
camshaft sprocket, water pump and
tensioner roller.

have timing holes in the crankshaft pulley
and in the flywheel and fixed datum holes in
the engine block to allow the crankshaft to
be locked in timed position, by using
correctly sized locking pins.
