PROBLEM
Fan Clutch cycles frequently.
PROBABLE CAUSE
Electrical Problem.
1. Poor ground or wire connections.
2. Improper temperature control
settings.
3. A/C Pressure Switch setting too
low.
4. Restricted radiator, blocking air
flow.
5. Faulty Thermal Switch.
Fan Clutch engaged, engine running hot.
1. Restriction in front of radiator.
2. Cooling system malfunction.
SOLUTION
1. Check electrical connections.
2. Check Thermal Switch settings of all
controls. Thermal Switch setting
should engage Fan Clutch 10° higher
than engine thermostat setting.
3. Check A/C Pressure Switch.
Use higher Pressure Switch.
4. Check shutter operation, winter fronts,
or obstructions in front of radiator.
5. Replace Thermal Switch.
