Asymmetrie (EMR4-AW.., EMR4-A..)
20 %ige Hysterese wirksam.
Phasenfolge- und Phasenausfall
werden bei allen Geräten unverzögert angezeigt und
zurückgesetzt

Neutral monitoring with EMR4-AW..
The EMR4-AW.. detects the interruption of the neutral in the
main to be monitored by means of phase unbalance evaluation.
Determined by the system, in case of unloaded neutral, i.e.
symmetrical load between all three phases, it may happen that
an interruption of the neutral will not be detected (l page 6).
Operating principle
The EMR4-AW.. is a multifunctional 3-phase monitor. It monitors
all phase parameters such as phase sequence, phase loss, over-
and undervoltage and phase unbalance. EMR4-A.., EMR4-W..-1
and EMR4-W..-C/-D are singlefunctional 3-phase monitors.
The EMR4-A.. monitors phase unbalance, phase sequence and
phase loss. EMR4-W..-1 and EMR4-W..-C/-D monitor overand
undervoltage, phase sequence and phase loss.
Over- and undervoltage monitoring
(EMR4-AW.., EMR4-W..-1, EMR4-W..-C/-D)
If all three phases are present with correct voltage, the output
relay is energized. If the voltage to be monitored exceeds or
falls below the set (EMR4-AW.., EMR4-W..-C/-D) or the fixed
(EMR4-W..-1) threshold value, the output relay is de-energized
undelayed or delayed (0.1 to 10 s), depending on the set time
delay. The fault type is indicated by the LED. The output relay is
re-energized automatically, instantaneously or with delay
(0.1 to1 s), depending on the set time delay, as soon as the
voltage returns to the tolerance range, taking into account a fixed
hysteresis of 5 %.
Phase unbalance (EMR4-AW.., EMR4-A..)
If all three phases are present with correct voltage, the output
relay is energized. The output relay is de-energized on the
EMR4-AW.. undelayed or delayed (0,1 to 10 s), on the EMR4-A..
delayed (0.1 to 10 s), if the phase unbalance of the phases to be
monitored exceeds the set unbalance threshold value. The fault
type is indicated by the LED. The output relay is re-energized
undelayed or delayed (0.1 to 10 s) on the EMR4-AW.. and
undelayed on the EMR4-A.., as soon as the voltage returns to the
tolerance range, taking into account a fixed hysteresis of 20 %.
Phase sequence and phase loss
On all devices phase sequence and phase loss are indicated and
reset without time delay.
