How to use your grill
Before fi rst use
Remove any packing materials completely.
Before using the grill for the fi rst time, clean the
grill stone and mini-pans with a damp cloth.
We recommend that you heat up the
appliance and the pans for about 10 minutes,
without any food, to eliminate the smell
typically encountered when fi rst switching
on a grill. A small amount of smoke may also
be noticeable, so the room may have to be
ventilated during this period.
Grill stone
 Fit the stone on to the appliance over the
heating element, with the polished side
up. Caution: avoid placing a cold stone
including
the

onto a hot element.
– Th e stone can be used for cooking
vegetables, sliced meat or fi sh etc. as
required.
– Th is stone is entirely natural material.
Small cracks resulting from natural
expansion
and
heating and cooling, as well as a change
to a darker colour are normal and have no
detrimental eff ects.
– Do not place any frozen food or items
containing vinegar (such as pickled
gherkins or mustard) on the stone.
Variable thermostat
– Th e variable thermostat controls the
operating time of the heating element,
with the yellow indicator light showing its
current operating status.

– When melting cheese or grilling, the
maximum
setting
(thermostat control all the way to the
right). Simply to keep food warm, the
thermostat should be adjusted to a lower
setting (thermostat control further to the
left ).
– Aft er use, return the thermostat all the way
to the left and disconnect the appliance
from the mains supply.
Operation
– Place the grill stone on the unit, ensuring
that the locating groove on the underside
of the grill stone is properly secured by
the corresponding lugs on the holding
bracket.
– Insert the plug into a suitable wall socket
and push the thermostat all the way to the
right.
– Aft er a pre-heating time of about 10
minutes, the appliance is ready for use.
However, the use of the grill stone requires
a pre-heating time of around 40 minutes.
