SWITCHING ON - SWITCHING OFF (FIG. 13)
WARNING: Before plugging in the power tool
always check that the trigger switch engages and dis-
engages properly.
Brief activation:
Switching on: press ON/OFF switch (9).
Switching off: release ON/OFF switch (9).
Continuous use:
Switching on: press ON/OFF switch (9) and in pressed
position lock it by button 10).
Switching off: press ON/OFF switch (9) once and re-
lease it immediately.
MAKING CUTS
The router can be used for cutting complex shapes and
forms on surface and the edge of wooden workpiece.
The collet accepts a variety of router bits, each of them
designed for specific cut or shape. Make all adjustments
as described in the previous sections.
1. Insert and secure the router bit.
2. Adjust the necessary cutting depth.
3. Place the base plate (13) on the workpiece ensuring
the bit does not contact the material to be cut.
4. Connect the router to the power supply.
5. Switch on the router. Make sure you have firm grip
on both handles. Wait for the bit to reach the pre-
selected speed.
6. Lower the router body and lock it in place at the de-
sired cutting depth.
7. Move the router smoothly over the workpiece sur-
face maintaining the base plate horizontally aligned
to the workpiece surface until the cut is completed.
OPERATION HINTS
DO NOT USE the round part of the router base to guide
it against a guide surface (parallel guide).
▪ Cutting shall be always performed against the direc-
tion of rotation of the router bit.
▪ Maintain steady cutting pressure taking care not to
overload the machine and cause excessive dropping
of the motor speed.

▪ When edge cutting the processed piece shall be on
the left side of the router bit in the direction of feeding.
▪ For very hard wood or difficult to process material it
may be necessary to make more than one pass to
gradually increase the depth until the desired dimen-
sion is achieved.
▪ Feeding the router too fast may cause poor quality of
the cut and damaging the bit or the motor.
▪ Feeding the router too slow may burn or mar the ma-
terial.
▪ The proper feed speed depends on router size, type
of processed material and cutting depth. Perform sev-
eral trial cuts on a scrap piece of material to determine
the proper feed speed and cut dimensions.
▪ Always switch off the machine and wait until the router
bit has come to a complete stop before removing the
machine from the workpiece.
WARNING: Always hold the router firmly with
both hands during operation. Where possible clamp
the workpiece to a bench.
WARNING: When processing flat panels
such as kitchen plots, make sure in advance you are
using the proper template and correct template guide.
DO NOT USE the round part of the router base to
guide it against a guide surface (parallel guide).
USING THE PARALLEL GUIDE
The parallel guide (17) increases efficiency when cham-
fering and cutting grooves in straight line.
1. Loosen the locking knobs (15) of the parallel guide
(17) (Fig. 15).
2. Insert the bars of the parallel guide through the
holes in the base plate (13) on the right side of the
router in the direction of feeding. This maintains the
guide aligned with the outer edge of the workpiece
(Fig. 16).
3. Adjust the distance between the router bit and the
parallel guide by moving the guide until it reaches the
correct distance.
4. Tighten knobs (15) to fix the parallel guide (Fig. 17).
NOTE: If the distance between the outer edge of the
workpiece and the cutting spot is too large or if the
outer edge of the workpiece is not straight, firmly clamp
a straight lath to the workpiece and use it as a guide
against the router base plate.
ROUTING WITH THE BOW COMPASS (FIG. 18)
The bow compass (19) can be used for cutting circular
areas.
1. Fix the centering screw (a) of the bow compass to the
end of one of the bars of the parallel guide.
2. Place the bar into its opening in the base plate.
3. Set the desired radius between the centering screw
(a) and the router bit.
4. Tighten the bar with the knob (15).
5. Position the screw (a) in the center of the circle you
intend to cut. If necessary loosen the wing nut (b) to
