Service

With cleaning and maintenance on the machine, the po-
wer cable should be disconnected from the supply. Service
should never be done inside the zone.
DC 3800/5800 Turbo EX function should be tested at
least once per year because it is a machine for explosive
environments. Check that there is no damage to electrical
equipment, seals and cables for potential equalization.
Worn parts must be replaced. Never compromise the
function and longevity. Use only original parts.
Th e turbopump has a very long maintenance free service
life. After approximately 10 000 running hours, the radial
seal between the motor and pump housing should be
greased. Bearings and seals in the motor and turbopump
should be checked and lubricated. Parts worn beyond
serviceable tolerances should be replaced with genuine
spare parts.
Filter change
Th e fi ne fi lter 42398 should be changed at least once per
year. HEPA fi lters should be changed every 300 hours.
Use breathing protection when changing the fi lter. Used
fi lters should be sealed in a plastic sack and disposed of
properly. Use only original fi lter.
Loosen and lift the lid on the cyclone. Unscrew the fi lter
potential equalization cable from the inlet module. Lift
straight up fi ne fi lter. Th read, if necessary, a plastic bag
over the cyclone to prevent the spread of dust in the fi lter.
Vacuum the fi lter plate from any dust. Th en mount the
new fi lter. Screw the potential equalization cable on the
inlet module.
HEPA fi lter removed from the seat of the cover by pulling
and wiggling it. New micro-fi lter is put into the fi ne fi lter.
Make sure it's the middle of the seat when the lid is fi tted.
