10. Maintenance
• Filters can only be maintained and serviced when depressurised!
• Sintered filter [A]/Art. No. 22160 and filter housings [1-8], [1-12]
have to be cleaned after 6 months at the latest; replace sintered filter,
if necessary!
• The fine filter cartridge [B]/Art. No. 81810 has to be replaced every
6 months at the latest!
• The activated charcoal cartridge [C]/Art. No. 85373 has to be re-
placed every 3 months at the latest!
• When the compressed air is heavily contaminated, the filter
cartridges have to be exchanged in shorter intervals!
• Saturated filter cartridges may cause quality problems during paint
jobs. Furthermore, using a supplied-air respirator could become harm-
ful, causing permanent health damage and even death!
• Depressurise filter (close shut-off tap)
• Unscrew [3] the respective filter housing with the pin spanner included
in the delivery.
• Remove condensate cyclone separator [4-1] from the filter stage
[A], remove and check insert as well as sintered filter [4-2]. Clean or
replace if necessary
• Remove [4-3] and replace fine or activated charcoal cartridge on filter
stages [B] and [C]
• Installation has to be carried out in reverse order. Please make sure
that the filter cartridges are installed in the correct order. Coloured
markers (yellow = sintered filter [A], blue = fine filter [B], black =
activated charcoal filter [C] allow clear identification [4-4]. Marking
rings are located on the threaded rods of the filter stages [B] and [C],
adhesive stickers [1-7], [1-11], [1-13] on the filter housings.
• During installation, please ensure proper seat and undamaged O-rings!
