TROUBLESHOOTING
COMMON PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
Review the following chart if you are experiencing a minor or common issue. This may alleviate the need to call a
serviceperson.
Problem
Difficulty closing lid
Difficulty opening lid
Steam escapes from
the bottom of the lid.
Steam escapes from
float valve for more
than 2 minutes.
Float valve does not
rise.
Steam is constantly
releasing from the
exhaust valve.
Display light is not
bright.
C1 appears on display.
C2 appears on display.
C5 appears on display.
C6 appears on display.

Possible Reason
Gasket is not installed properly.
Float valve is positioned up.
Float valve fails to fall after
steam releases.
Pressure is inside the cooker.
No gasket.
Food fragments attached to
gasket.
Gasket damaged.
Lid not closed properly.
Food fragments attached to
float valve.
Float valve is worn.
Not enough food or liquid in
the inner pot.
Lid locking pin obstructs float
valve.
Exhaust valve is in the "Venting"

The lid is not closed properly.
Solution
Make sure rubber gasket is behind the ring and firmly pressed
down.
Lightly press the float valve down.
Lightly press the float valve down with a long utensil like
chopsticks.
Use the quick release method and position the exhaust valve
to "Venting" and allow the pressure to escape. You will be able
to open the lid once the pressure is released.
Install the gasket.
Clean the gasket.
Replace the gasket.
Open the lid and close it properly.
Clean the float valve.
Replace the float valve.
Add additional liquid according to the recipe.
Make sure the lid is closed properly. Refer to page 14.
Turn the exhaust valve to "Sealing".
Contact customer service.
Contact customer service.

Add water as required.
Place the pot in properly.
Contact customer service.
Close the lid properly. Refer to page 14.
