NOTE:
Put a little less water into the pan in case the eggs are
too hard or a little more, if they are too soft.
Overheating Protection
CAUTION:
Do not leave the appliance unattended!
The appliance is equipped with an overheating protection.
Once the water in the pan is evaporated the heating
operation is interrupted. The indicator light "HEAT" goes
out. Once the appliance has cooled down the heating
operation will be continued, even if there is no more water
in the pan. The indicator light "HEAT" lights up again.
1. Switch off the appliance as soon as the indicator light
"HEAT" goes out.
2. Check whether the food has reached the desired
consistency.
3. In order to continue the cooking process fill water into
the pan again.
4. Switch on the appliance.
Operation
WARNING:
Ensure that the slide lever of the toaster is in the top posi-
tion before using the egg boiler / steam cooker.
1. Set the on / off switch to the "OFF" (off) position.
2. Insert the plug in a duly installed socket. The indicator
light "OFF" lights green.
Boiling Eggs
3. Insert the pan, if necessary.
4. Fill the pan with water. Refer to the table as described
in chapter "The Egg Boiler / Steam Cooker"
on Use".
5. Install the egg holder.
6. Pierce the eggs on their blunt side in order for the eggs
not to crack during cooking. In order to do so, use the
egg pricker on the bottom of the measuring cup.
7. Place the eggs into the egg holder with the pricked end
at the top.
8. Put on the lid.
9. Set the on / off switch to the "HEAT" position. The indica-
tor lights "OFF" and "HEAT" will light red.
10. The eggs are done once the water is used up. The
indicator light "HEAT" goes out. Switch off the appliance.
Set the on / off switch to the "OFF" position.
11. Remove the lid. Lift out the egg holder by its handles.
By doing so, you can briefly hold the eggs under running
cold water in order to prevent subsequent cooking.
12. Let the appliance cool down before using it again or
before cleaning and storing.

Frying Eggs (Fried Egg, Omelet, Scrambled Eggs)
3. Insert the pan, if necessary.
4. Switch on the appliance. Set the on / off switch to the
"HEAT" position.
NOTE:
The indicator light "HEAT" switches on and off during
operation. This is normal and indicates that the
temperature is being thermostatically controlled and
maintained.
5. Briefly heat up the appliance.
6. Put some oil or margarine into the pan.
WARNING: Risk of burns!
Hot oil may spurt out during frying!
7. Fried Egg: Break an egg into the pan.
Scrambled eggs / Omelet: Break an egg into a bowl
and mix it. Pour it into the pan.
NOTE:
• Mix the scrambled egg with the spatula until it is
golden brown.
• Turn over the scrambled egg or the omelet once it
is golden brown.
8. Switch off the appliance. Set the on / off switch to the
"OFF" position.
NOTE:
Clean the pan after each use as described in chapter
"Cleaning"

Poaching Eggs
3. Insert the pan, if necessary.
4. Fill the pan with 100 ml of water.
5. Install the egg holder.
6. Place the poaching insert on the egg holder.

7. Slightly grease the recesses with butter or margarine to
be able to remove the boiled egg more easily.
8. Do not fill in more than one cracked egg per recess.
9. Put on the lid.
10. Switch on the appliance. Set the on / off switch to the
"HEAT" position.
11. Watch the cooking process. Turn the appliance off once
the egg white has solidified. Set the on / off switch to the
"OFF" position.
NOTE:
In case the egg white has not yet solidified, even
though the water is used up, proceed as described in
chapter "The Egg Boiler / Steam Cooker"

12. Remove the pouched eggs by using the spatula.
