4. Assembly
The machine is converted for mulching by
installing AMK 082 (mulch insert and
mulching blade)

4.1 Removing the mowing deck

See instruction manual
MR 4082, MR 4082 K.

4.2 Removing the mowing blade

See instruction manual
MR 4082, MR 4082 K (section "Mowing
blade maintenance").
4.3 Removing the mowing deck
ejection chute
● Unscrew the nuts (1). Remove
the nuts (1), screws (2) and washers
(3).
● Remove the mowing deck ejection
chute (4).
Do not use the nuts (1) again when
installing the mulch insert. The nuts
(E) included in the scope of delivery
must be used in place of the
removed nuts (1).

4.4 Installing the mulch insert

Risk of injury:
Only install the mulch insert with the
cutting tool (blade) removed!
Always wear thick gloves when
installing the mulch insert.
12
Clean the mowing deck thoroughly
before installing the mulch insert.
When installing, also install the
mowing deck ejection chute, using
the nuts (E) provided (included in
scope of delivery of mulch insert).
● Lift the mowing deck and position it so
that it is possible to reach the underside
of the mowing deck with the hand.
● Hold the mulch insert (A) on the
underside of the mowing deck over the
mowing deck opening.
● Attach the mowing deck ejection
chute (3) to the upper side of the
mowing deck.
● Guide the screws (1) through the bores
on the mulch insert (A), on the mowing
deck (2) and on the mowing deck
ejection chute (3).
● Fit the washers (4) and nuts (E) and
tighten the nuts (E) to a torque of
2
- 4 Nm.
Caution:
After installing the mulch insert,
check visually that the discharge
opening on the mowing deck is
completely closed by the mulch
insert. The mulch insert should
contact the mowing deck.
If the mulch insert is not correctly
installed, loosen the four nuts
slightly and reposition the mulch
insert. Then tighten the nuts (E)
again to a torque of 3 - 4 Nm.

4.5 Installing the mulching blade

Risk of injury:
Before installing, check the
mulching blade for damage
(notches or cracks) and wear.
Worn or damaged mulching blades
must be replaced.
Renew the blade fastening screw
and retaining washer each time the
blade is installed. The blade
fastening screw (C) and retaining
washer (D) are included in the
standard equipment for initial
installation of the mulching blade.
Additionally secure the blade
fastening screw with Loctite 243.
Observe the specified torque of
65 - 70 Nm when tightening the
blade fastening screws, as the
secure attachment of the cutting
tool depends on this.
● Fit the mulching blade (B) with the
vanes pointing upwards towards the
mowing deck and hold them in position.
Screw in the blade fastening screw (C)
with retaining washer (D) (observe
convexity of retaining washer) and
tighten to a torque of 65 - 70 Nm.
4.6 Installing the discharge chute
● See instruction manual MR 4082, MR
4082 K.
