1/4 Sheet Sander · 2.0 AMP
Attaching Sandpaper to the Baseplate
1. On both sides of the unit, press the loops on the sandpaper clamps inward and swing the
clamps on both sides up, out, and down to loosen the clamps (Fig. 4).
2. Take sandpaper of the required grit and place it on the sanding baseplate (grit side outwards).
Make sure there is enough extra paper to overlap at the front and rear and fit under the clamps.
3. After wrapping the front and rear edges of sandpaper around the baseplate edges and under
the clamps (grit side outwards), snap the clamps back into place (pre-bending the sandpaper
makes attachment easier)(Fig. 5).
NOTE: The sandpaper must be drawn as tight as possible for efficient sanding, loose sandpaper
can slip on the work surface.
4. After the paper has been installed, it will be necessary to punch holes into the paper with the
use of the punch plate included with sander. Align baseplate with punch plate and push down
on sander until punch plate pierces the paper. Then remove punch plate from sander (Fig. 6).
