7. Instructions For Use

Display Meaning
Press the on/off key . All the symbols appear for a period of 2 seconds on the display .
The last measurement appears on the display together with the status message „MEM" for a period of 2 seconds.
The device is ready to use when the °C or °F symbol blinks on the display and the thermometer emits a tone .
Pull the ear gently towards the back of the head and then upwards to straighten the ear canal In order to guarantee that the
sensor has free passage to the ear drum . When measuring the temperature of infants under one year (babies), pull the ear gently
towards the back of the head . In case of children, adolescents and adults, pull the ear gently backwards and then upwards .
Carefully insert the sensor into the ear while the ear is gently being pulled towards the back of the head . Make sure that
the sensor sits firmly (but not too firmly!) in the ear and press the start key . Release the start key and wait for the tone .
This tone indicates that the temperature measurement has been completed .
Remove the thermometer from the ear . The measured value is shown on the display .
